Malpartida de Cáceres

Malpartida de Cáceres is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura. Although the area was inhabited since prehistoric times, it was not until the 13th century that the town was founded after the reconquest of Cáceres.

Like other towns in Extremadura, during the 16th and 17th centuries, due to the conquest of America, it experienced a socio-economic boost due to the transit of people on their way to the New World. In the 19th century, it achieved the status of an independent municipality.
